Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science
Experience in Health Sciences Librarianship would be an asset
A minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience in Librarianship in an academic/research Library is also required, as well as experience in the following:
- The provision of reference services
- Using an automated Library Information Management System
- Supervisory Management
Special Responsibilities
- Managing the Medical Sciences Library on the evening and weekend shifts
- Engaging in professional development activities
- Conducting research and contributing to the body of literature on Library and Information Science
Personal Attributes
The Campus Libraries place high priority on individuals who can work well in a team environment. Candidates should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A good command of both oral and written English is essential. Candidates must also possess:
